Train to Teach

What better way to learn to teach than in a school?

School Direct  courses last for the full academic year, during which time trainees are based in a host school with excellent experience in supporting with ITT, alongside professional studies sessions at the Yorkshire Wolds Teacher Training base.

On successful completion of the training, trainees are awarded a PGCE with QTS.

This course offers a brilliant option if you want to train and learn ‘on the job’ – but you shouldn’t worry about being thrown in at the deep end. You’ll be part of a team from the very start, receiving intensive support from experienced teachers and mentors. That means you won’t be teaching classes unsupported until the school thinks you’re ready.

Our ethos is simple ‘Everybody Cares, Everybody Learns, Everybody Matters’ and we embody this to ensure the best outcomes for our teachers and pupils.
