Riding Forward TSA are working in partnership with Carnegie Leaders in Learning to offer leadership learning opportunities at all levels and are delighted to be offering the National College for Teaching and Leadership’s Leadership curriculum.
Members of our Alliance work closely together with Carnegie Leaders in Learning to provide facilitators who are outstanding school leaders in their own right.
Carnegie’s approach to delivering the leadership curriculum will be through a blended learning experience of learning in the participant’s own school or setting, face to face sessions with facilitators, coaching and on line study with access to a wide range of current resources.
Carnegie will work with participants in a number of ways, including facilitating face to face sessions, coaching groups and individuals and enabling participants to be the best they can be.
Carnegie can currently offer the following programmes which can be bespoke to meet alliance schools’ needs.
Level 1 – National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML)
Level 2 – National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL)
Level 3 – National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH)

Research Funding Opportunity
As mentioned previously, the Carnegie School of Education are wanting to work with schools in partnership to embed research practice and have launched a funding opportunity for partner schools only to apply for. Please see ‘partner research fund application’ attached.
The Carnegie Teacher-Researcher Status enables schools to also be awarded the Carnegie Teacher-Researcher Standard based on their evidence of embedding research within their setting. The Masters of Research – Professional Practice will be launched this November with further application rounds to be made available. This innovative research award recognises achievements, skills and experience of candidates by enabling them to apply cutting edge research to critically reflect on their professional role and work. Any NPQ graduate with Carnegie Leaders in Learning, is entitled to a 20% reduction off the fee and further information can be obtained from Dr Nick Sutcliffe via email@example.com or on 0113 812 1771.

We have launched three new workshops to support senior leaders aspiring for headship. The workshops are ‘Applying for your first headship’, ‘First 100 days in headship’ and ‘Effective coaching to develop staff and improve performance’.
